4 Features In A Row For Dave Gartner

Dave Gartner took out the 1st Round of the JD Series at Speedway City on Saturday 25th of October. The night started badly for Dave Gartner with a crash in hot laps on a slippery racing surface.

The first heat saw Luke Dodding lead the field away only to suffer engine problems, Dave Gartner also had problems with a broken j-bar. Ryan Alexander took the win from Paul Blenkiron, Michael Miller, Trevor Ware, Kaleb Perrett having his first run for the season,  Graham Stewart and Cary McCarthy driving Cindys’ car.

Dave Gartner took advantage of his front row start in the second heat and led all the way from Michael Miller, Ryan Alexander, Paul Blenkiron,Trevor Ware,  Kaleb Perrett  and Cindy McCarthy.

The 20 lap feature had Ryan Alexander and Michael Miller from the front row, Paul Blenkiron and Dave Gartner on the second row, Trevor Ware and Kaleb Perrett on the third row with Graham Stewart and Cindy McCarthy on the last row. Ryan Alexander got the jump at the start and led the field away. The pace was fast on a drivey, bumpy racing surface. Dave Gartner took the lead passing Ryan Alexander around the outside, Michael Miller was challenged for third by Paul Blenkiron, Trevor Ware and Kaleb Perrett, Michael Miller hung on to take third from Trevor Ware, Paul Blenkiron dropped back a bit having guessed the wrong set up for the feature. Kaleb Perrett finished fast after coming from the back, Graham Stewart finishing well in 7th and Cindy McCarthy rounding out the field with a consistent run.

The next meeting will be at Murray Bridge Speedway on November the 8th.
