Drivers Profile - Michael Brown S52.

At 21 years of age Michael is currently working as a Diesel Mechanic in Whyalla, which is also his home town.

From a young age, Michael spent his weekends sitting in the spectator's area watching his dad along with many others. At the age of 12, Michael stepped into his own race car and started racing in junior sedans until he was 16, then from the age of 16 to 20 he drove a AMCA.  At the end of last season (12/13) he made the move into super sedans and ran 4 meetings as a learning curve getting use to how the car reacts and handles and learning the ropes of a super sedan.

This season (13/14) has been Michael first full year of driving his Pontiac, Grand Prix, S52, John Pyne chassis, we have seen Michael travel the state and has competed in JD Courier Series, SA State Series, SA State Title, the National Super Sedan Series (Rnd 7) and the Australian Super Sedan title.

Michael has set himself many goals and he is on his way to achieving them with multiple heat & feature wins. With his most recent wining both heats and the feature of the Wally Francombe at Sunline Speedway on the 17th May and previous to that he won the final round of the SA State Series title at his home track at Whyalla's Westline Speedway,.

One of Michael's career highlights that stands out for season 13/14 is where he compete in his 1st Australian title and racing against some of the best drivers in the country qualified 13th for the A main and was credited 12th overall. The Title which was held at Murray Bridge, a track Michael states is his favourite.

Between race meetings Michael spends the majority of the time working on his car but has great support from his family and friends.
